I DARE YOU!!!!!!!

Saturday, May 30th, 2009

I DARE YOU     to spend more time reading God’s Word than the daily newspaper.

I DARE YOU     to face your doubts and conquer them.

I DARE YOU     to brave the snickers of your friends and live in the simple style which will enabloe you to spend more time with Christ.

I DARE YOU     to challenege your friends to live up to their professed religion.

I DARE YOU     to take Christ with you into the classroom, office, and workshhop.

I DARE YOU     to tell the truty in love whenever you speak.

I DARE YOU     to live above the average standard of morals and be really virtuous.

I DARE YOU     to be honest with yourself and evaluate the way you spend your leisure time in the light of your love for Christ.

I DARE YOU     to be courageous and willing to accept criticism by trying to start some new form of Christian ministry.

I DARE YOU     to throw your whole soul into the worship of God every time you meet for that purpose.

I DARE YOU     to work half as hard to win people to Christ as you work for your business.

I DARE YOU     to act as if you believe that Jesus is the Christ.

The Ministry Of Prayer

Saturday, May 30th, 2009

There’s a holy high vocation needing workers everywhere;

Tis the highest form of service – Tis the ministry of prayer.

None need stand idly longing for a place in which to share

Active service for the Master there’s always room in prayer.

In these days of tribulation, wickedness pervades the air;

And the battles we engage in must be won by fervent prayer.

There’s no weapon half so mighty as what the intercessors bear;

Nor a broader field of service than the ministry of prayer.

James Fortune – CD The Transformation Song I Trust You

Saturday, May 30th, 2009

James Fortune was homeless when he wrote his song, “I Trust You”  God is trying to show you something and develop you.  Listen to what He says and trust Him.”

“Do you see what I’m going through?  God told me to ‘trust me even when you can’t see men, even when it seems I”ve forgotten about you.   Without faith, it’s impossible to please God.

I was thinking that was the worst time in my life.  Now I see that was the best thing that happened to me.  God knew that three years later, people would be going through what I was going through and would need to hear that song.  I see what God was up to.  This son is bringing people hope and encouragement.  He had to get me in that situation to write that song.  I wouldn’t have written it if I was prosperous.”

THE SUMMIT by Eric D. Johnson Copyright 2002

The Summit

The mountain before me was enormous.  I began my climb steady and sure.  Soon I ran into obstacles, Some  places I slid back down the mountain almost to my death.  The mountain seemed to be winning.

I could feel the force of the mountain trying to keep me from my goal.  But I fought my way through.  Finally the Summit was in view.

It was then the climb became the most difficult.  The steep loose rocks made the final journey hopeless.  I slid down the rocks.  I was hurt, tired and had lost hope.

Suddenly, I felt a force touching me.  I turned quickly and there I saw him.  It was Jesus!  I grabbed both his hands and knelt at his feet.  He said to me, “Oh my child, I’ve been reaching out to you – your entire journey, but you pushed me away and went your own direction.”  As I cried at my savior’s feet, he lifted me up.  We drifted off the mountain.

Instead of rising to the top of the Summit, we glided down to the base of the mountaiin.  Jesus said to me, “If you say to this mountain be cast iinto the sea and do not doubt in your heart, it shall be done.”  I stood there looking at the mountain.  It was an enormous towering obstacle.  I asked myself, “Did I have enough faith?”  Then I looked at Jesus.  Two eyes looked back and me who had been where I was before.  He had felt fear and loneliness.  He had been hurt and unloved by others.  With my eyes still focused on Jesus, I said in a loud voice, “Mountain be cast into the Sea!”

The earth began to shake furiously.  Rocks and boulders tumbled to my feet.  Something of incredible size and power was happening behind me, but I kept my focus on the Saviour.  I heard water and waves splashing up.

Then there was a great calm.   I stood there looking in the eyes of Jesus.  Love Joy and Peace cane over me that I could not explain.  I did not have to look back anymore.  I knew God had removed the mountain.

I AM THERE – JAMES DILLET FREEMAN

Sunday, February 15th, 2009

Do you need me?  I am there.

You cannot see Me, yet, I am the light you see by.

You cannot hear Me, yet I speak through your voice.

you cannot feel Me, yet, I am the power at work in your hands.

I am at work, though you you do not understand My ways.

I am at work, though you do not recognize my works.

I am not strange visions,  I am not mysteries.

Only in absolute stillness, beyond self, can you know Me as I am, and then but as a feeling and a faith.

Yet I am there.  Yet I hear.  Yet I answer.

When you need Me, I am there.

Even if you deny Me, I am there.

Even when you feel most alone, I am there.

Even in your fears, I am there.

Even in your pain, I am there.

I am there when you pray and when you do not pray.

I am in you, and you are in Me.

Only in your mind can you feel separate from Me, for only in your mind are the mists of “yours” and “mine”.

Yet only with your mind can you know Me and experience Me.

Empty your heart of empty fears.

When you get yourself out of the way, I am there.

You can of yourself do nothing, but I can do all.  And I am in all.

Though you may not see the good, good is there, for I am there.

I am there because I have to be, because I am.

Only in Me does the world have meaning; only out of Me does the world take form; only because of Me does the world go forward.

Ii am the law on which the movement of the stars and the growth of living ccells are founded.

I am the love that is the law’s fulfilling.

I am assurance.

I am peace.

I am oneness.

I am the law that you can live by.

I am the love that you can cling to.

I am your assurance.

I am your peace.

I am one with you.

I am.

Though you fail to find Me, I do not fail you.

Though your faith in Me is unsure, my faith in you never wavers, because I know you, because I love you.

Beloved, I am there.

GOODNIGHT, DEAR GOD – By The Omaha Home

Sunday, February 15th, 2009

The sun has gone down from the sky and peace of night is drawing night.

I pray, Dear God, my soul You’ll keep, while in Your loving arms I sleep.

Forgive the things I did today, when from Your glorious path I’d stray.

And as I slumber through the night Please take my hand and hold it tight.

And when I awake to a bright new morn, restored, refreshed, renewed, reborn.

I’ll try again, Dear God, to be the person You would hope of me.

GOOD MORNING DEAR GOD – By Helen Steiner Rice

Sunday, February 15th, 2009

You are ushering in another day, untouched and freshly new,

So here I come to ask You God, if You’ll renew me too?

Forgive the many erros, that I made yesterday, and let me try again dear God, to walk closer in Thy way.

But Father, I am well aware, I can’t make it on my own.

So take my hand and hold it tight for I can’t walk alone.

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

Sunday, February 15th, 2009

I said a prayer for you today, and know God must have heard -

I felt the answer in my heart, although He spoke no word!

I didn’t ask for wealth or fame (I knew you wouldn’t mind)-

I asked Him to send treasures of a far more lasting kind!

I asked that He’d be near you at the start of each new day

To grant you health and blessings and friends to share your way!

I asked for happiness for you in all things great and small

But it was for His loving care I prayed for most of all!

Nobody’s Friend

Sunday, February 15th, 2009

My name is gossip.  I have no respect for justice.

I maim without killing.  I break hearts and ruin lives.

i am cunning and malicious and gather strength with age.  The more I am quoted the more I am believed.

I flourish at every level of society.

My victims are helpless.  They cannot protect themselves against me because I have no name and no face.

To knock me down ins impossible.  the harder you try, the more elusive I become.

I am nobody’s friend.

Once I tarnish a reputation, it is never the same.

I topple governments and wrech marriages.

I ruin careers and cause sleepless nights, heartache and iindigestion.

I spawn suspiscion and generate grief.

i make innocent people cry in their pillows.

Even my name hisses.

I am called gossip

Telephone gossip.

Party gossip.

Office gossip.

Shop gossip.

I make headlines and heartaches.

Before you repeat a story, ask yourself, is it true?  Is it fair?  Is it necessary?  IF NOT – DON’T REPEAT IT!
